ROTARY JUNIOR LEADERSHIP WEEKEND

RECOMMENDED CLOTHING LIST:

 

weather is unpredictable but we will complete all the programme come rain or shine!

 

  Current Weather Forecast in the Haliburton area.

 

(remember, everything must fit into a typical school bus storage)

 

 

  1       Wool Sweater or Fleece top

  1       Cotton Sweat shirt

1       Rain gear or Poncho including a hat

  1       Long sleeve shirt

  3       T shirts

  2       pair of sweatpants or warm ups (jeans are not recommended because once they get wet, and they will, they will stay wet all weekend!)

  1       pair of tights or long underwear

  appropriate under garments

  3         pair cotton socks

2         pair wool socks

2         pairs running shoes or substitute 1 pair running shoes with 1 pair light hiking boots if available

Note: be prepared to get at least one pair wet.

   

1         sleeping bag (we now recommend Fall season weight - the cabins are unheated). Be prepared for freezing.

We also recommend Fleece pants and top to wear as PJs.

A pillow or a pillow case to be stuffed with towels or clothing.

 

1         bath towel, hand towel and face cloth, soap, shampoo etc.

hat, sunglasses and sunscreen

1         pair of gloves or mitts (lightweight i.e. Cotton should suffice )

1 Swim suit

1 Shorts

Camera (optional but recommended)

Flashlight

NOTE: as this will be an intensive and interactive weekend please do not bring any electronic devices such as ; iPods, personal CD, cassette players or portable stereos as these items will severely detract from the overall goals and objectives of the experience. Cards and/or other multi user games are appropriate as they are conductive to interaction amongst participants.

Cell Phones will not function at the camp but can be used from the buses on the way home on Sunday.

Personal non electronic instruments may also be taken on individual approval of the organizers (a banjo is probably OK, a drum set is not)
