We had the Camp phone number posted here for emergency use but from now on it will no longer be posted. We may have a Burlington or Mississauga number where messages may be transferred.
This is the result of one parent who used the emergency phone inappropriately. We specified not to use this phone for anything except a real emergency. This year, a parent called and "needed to talk to their child". This required a busy staff member to stop what he was doing, to drive through the woods to a remote location where activities were going on. The student was rushed back to the office area and called home only to discover the parent just wanted to know "how things were going?".
