Organized and run by members of Burl/Oak and Peel Rotary Clubs
Developed & organized by Richard Pass (senior "Chap")
2011/09/25 last update

The dates of the Camp are:

September 28, 29 & 30th 2012

Who can go to this camp?

There are two routes. Every high school in western Halton is sent an invitation in the Spring to recommend 3 students that the school believes have exceptional Leadership potential. Those students will be advised by school personnel to apply. If the school has not advised you there is nothing to prevent you from approaching your guidance advisor but don't just apply without sponsorship because the cost is approximately $250. With sponsorship you will only pay $75.

The second route is through the Rotary Interact clubs that exist in many schools. Students who are on the executive of their club will be offered the opportunity to apply. A total of 45-48 students can be accommodated so the final list will be assessed to choose the most qualified students.

We are also still accepting applications for the Jr Chap roles. You need to have previously attended the camp and wish to return in the organisational role.

The only applications that are acceptable are to be done on-line using the TAB-APPLICATION at the top of this page.
You must submit both the Application on-line and
the Consent form which you need to print out and mail to
Mr G. Willard , 500 Kilarney Court
Burlington ON. L7L 2N7
with a cheque for $75 payable to the Rotary Leadership Camp

We are going late September which allows some pre-organization after school starts but hopefully in time for good weather.

Students who have attended previously may apply to return as Jr Chaps.

The bus return is somewhat weather dependent. We plan on leaving the camp at 1:30pm and, traffic dependent, it should take about 4 hours to Brampton and another 45 minutes to Burlington.. However, if it's cold and wet Sunday and the kids don't want the Free time, we will leave perhaps an hour earlier. We will attempt to post a planned arrival time on our website as we leave the camp. We have advised most of the kids that if they have cell phones they can use them from the returning buses.

Do not try to call until after about 3pm.

Cell Phones on the buses on Sunday PM

(No longer needed - removed)

no one called during the return.

Orientation Meeting for all Parents and Students

We will have an Orientation Meeting to answer last minute questions about transportation, facilities and schedule etc. You are encouraged to attend.

The current plan is for the meeting to be on September the 12th (Wednesday) at 6:30pm
